HACKNEY COUNCIL
As part of my development as an individual, I worked on a project with the Hackney council. Within this project I was now allowed access to the data server and able to start editing the website in which he saw fit so I was given a brief and a task in which I had to Find the code in for each YouTube video and recode the code it to the right size to fit the length of the page but also I had to get rid of any excess spaces in each of the letters on the webpage because it looked very unprofessional from the Hansel from the Hackney Council Point of view. This only happened due to the fact that the switch to software is and the previous coding for the previous software did not recognize certain things from the coding in which they are using now so, unfortunately, there were few unforeseen errors when changing.
PRODUCTION COMPANY
Due to my newly Achieved photoshop certificate that was obtained to my advantage, I was able to put that on my CV and my friend recommended me to a production management company that needed a graphics designer. On the first day, I went for a meeting to discuss design props and get a better understanding of there vision and goals and aspirations. The management I was doing freelance work with is called ark management there is an up and coming management. I was directed to the there media department.
I finalize the ideas of the concepts to the client and whichever one was liked the most, went into developing, and I had to make a more professional standard version using the abode photoshop whilst use the correct colour scheme on the brief in which I was instructed. I did this by drawing The final design and scanning it into the computer and then drawing over the design using Adobe Photoshop tools and create the logo in which the client was very pleased with and used. VIDEOGRAPHY PROJECT (PRODUCTION COMPANY)
· When working with this Production company we had Regular presentation on how we were going to approach this music video in an imaginative way and bring all our creative ability within a small time frame but also bring our the best of the artist at the same time
· We Time put into rehearsing of the artist so the artist looked comfortable on set
· We were proactive and versatile on the storyline of the music video just in case anything went wrong on set
· My individual contribution. on this project was the main working alongside the Directors SUAVE and Chaye Jamie. Furthermore, I was part of documenting the BTS footage on this project that unfortunately under contract I can't put on my PORTFOLIO.
On this project of the NHS, I worked in a group of three our specific role in this project was to build a Collaborative Branding piece between the NHS and country university. The collaborative Branding On this was express and shed light on the different segments of the NHS ranging from mental health to all different types of disabilities and faculties within the NHS. The way we managed the project within our team was in the team so each person had individual roles because some of us were stronger in other areas then the others. My specific Contribution to this collab was creating very basic but understandable wireframes in which will create the foundation on which how our branding piece will somehow be implemented into the other pieces of work my other colleagues will be working on in other groups. However due to the current situation of the pandemic that was going on and we had to rethink how we were going approached the project this was done by having regular Zoom on FaceTime calls. This had a positive effect on our group as we were able to communicate better and solving issues straight up instead of typing And possible misunderstanding what the other person said. I feel like this has helped me for the future as this has taught me That having a digital presence is very important when communicating with colleagues As you were able to bounce off ideas better visually than using email. On this ongoing project, Microsoft has a scheme called Microsoft Hackathon. This challenges us to work with a team of Microsoft developers to work on a specific theme. We have multiple different ideas of themes we could have used a couple of examples. How to reduce the friction between the elderly and the internet / How to create User-friendly marketing plans for the younger generation? The theme has not yet been determined, but I have been invited to participate this year. Previous themes have included loneliness and therefore we didn't want to repeat an idea. The actual Hackathon takes place on 27 – 29 July 2020. Ideally, I will be available for those dates, but we are negotiating with the hackathon developers team that you can create outputs prior to the hackathon as well.
FUTURE PLANS
The world of technology is a very open and diverse place and I feel like Attending Coventry University and specifically studying a digital-based course has opened my eyes to many different avenues that I could potentially go down. Over the course of the last couple of year of studying digital media, I have come to realize my strengths and weakness as an induvial within the realm of technology and have become a custom too always being ready to venture into any different technology as this is an ever-growing industry and you always as well have to be at the top of your game or you will be left behind. Since the beginning of my academic journey, I’ve always had a fund of exploring the depths of different software’s and this is demonstrated in the number of different projects I’ve worked on with any different people along the way. I Choose to shares these collected pieces of projects because I believe it shows the diversity and also what I’ve acquired over the last. Many of the projects are very Graphics based as I’m very keen on graphics design and creating vector drawings as this is displayed on my portfolio. Furthermore, some of these designs have gone onto become Real business logos for clothing brands which am very proud as this demonstrates that’s my hard work in Learning new software’s in University has not gone unnoticed and has reached a good standard of professionalism and class to take me to the next level. Although my portfolio has a lot of graphic-based designs I have come to learn, understand and explore many new technologies, for example, augmented reality, Artificial intelligence but the one I’ve come to enjoy and possibly have a career in is interface Design. This joy and interest of interface design have stemmed from a Project I’m currently working on called the Genesys creators project we’re we dived into the region of website space and User domains. This gave me an insight into how important User interface is from a business perspective and how this can make or break the amount of consummation a business can receive. This mind came from me being a position of being the User interface leader on this project alongside my collogue. Furthermore, this ongoing experience has sparked a developing interest within me of going down the UI and Web development industry which is an industry of even more avenue that it could potentially go down in the Nearby future.
